Up, Up And Away…

Henry took his first flight with Randall and me last week. It was exciting times in our house preparing for the big event. Henry was unsure about it all, but excited at the same time. Having VBS the week prior to our trip and the theme being about air travel helped a lot. Before VBS the mention of flying made him scream. So neat how God works things out in such a fun way. He wanted to fly, fly, fly after VBS!

We arrived at our gate and he spotted the plane. Randall and Henry watched a few planes take off and land from the window. Henry loved watching it all and telling everyone at our gate he was going to ride on an airplane. We got lots of collective grins and laughter.

And this is when he turned back and yelled at the gate attendant, “I ride airplane to Minnesota!” and ran onto the plane. He could not contain his excitement!! Precious.

He got in his window seat and sat still while looking out the window and constantly telling us he was flying on an airplane. He loved it and we were so glad he did!

All the excitement wore our baby boy out! He scored his wings though and that was the goal. We let him rest up a bit in his stroller before we set out on our 8 day excursion in the land of 10,000 lakes.
Stay tuned for a few more posts in the coming days about our busy and fun trip!

Celebrating and decorating with purpose is my favorite thing to do. When I am not filling a tree with ornaments or throwing a birthday party for my golden doodle, I am being mom to a super cool tween son, the wife to a fine blue eyed man and selling real estate. I call northeast Arkansas home and when I am not loving on my people or celebrating in our space, I am using words to express myself here or on my podcast. Be sure to follow me!
