Here Comes Peter Cottontail

I know Easter is all about Jesus and his sacrifice, yet we also celebrate the bunny at our house. We knew the real meaning of Easter when we were growing up while celebrating the bunny, so we carry on that tradition with our little Henry. This is our third Easter with our little fella.Learning the rules of egg hunting has been difficult for our little guy. He wants to throw them and run away. It is quite comical to watch.

We took our little egg hunter to an egg hunt with some friends. He was unsure about the group hunt, but was willing to line up with the kiddos and take a stab at it.

Wearing the bucket on his head. What a little clown. He is my child and I love it.

And finally he realized the eggs had candy in them and he was off to the races! He now wants candy in the eggs we play with at home…but of course!

Our cookie lady, Amy shipped us these cookies for Henry’s school Easter party. Aren’t they adorable?! She really does a great job and we can always count on her to come up with something unique for us.

Henry enjoyed his sunrise Easter party at school. We were assigned plates and napkins. I loved that assignment! I found them at the Dollar Tree. I thought they were super cute.

Henry loves having parties. He gets so excited. He also loves having mama or daddy at his school. It is always fun to be part of his school day. We are so blessed to have him in a daycare that teaches him about Jesus and that he has teachers who love our boy like their very own.

Henry was dressed in his bunny sweater and all smiles about going to see the Easter Bunny.

And then he saw the bunny! He was not excited at all. He was scared speechless. He screamed and shut down. The mother behind us in line gave me the dirtiest look ever because I made him sit there anyway to get a photo. Oh well, it was a moment I wanted to remember, call me a bad mom, I can take it! lol. Henry was perfectly fine as soon as he got his sucker and bunny ears from the photo guy. He walked through the mall saying ‘I saw Easter Bunny” with great pride. Oh me, what a funny little bunny we have!

Celebrating and decorating with purpose is my favorite thing to do. When I am not filling a tree with ornaments or throwing a birthday party for my golden doodle, I am being mom to a super cool tween son, the wife to a fine blue eyed man and selling real estate. I call northeast Arkansas home and when I am not loving on my people or celebrating in our space, I am using words to express myself here or on my podcast. Be sure to follow me! I am the co-author of a blog called Life with My Sister and have a podcast called Abby As-Is. You can also follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
