A Daybook Entry

I used to do this on my personal blog and really enjoyed it. So I though I would bring it back out today.

A favorite picture… Anna’s 7th birthday party. Her cake was designed by her and made by a friend of mine. She was so cute and enjoyed her day so very much.

Outside my window…Is a beautiful sunny day. A little warmer than I like in October, but so beautiful.

I am thinking…about getting to visit old friends this weekend. Thursday just can’t get here fast enough.

I am thankful for…my children. I was taught to pray for those that give you trouble. I am praying for these children a lot today. If you get my drift!

From the kitchen…nothing so far. But tonight will be homemade chicken strips and cheesy mashed potatoes!

I am wearing…brown fleece pants, a Buck-e Beaver t-shirt and Easter socks. Don’t hate me.

I am creating…UGH! I practiced etching glass today, I was planning on making Christmas gifts using my new talent, but it looks like there will be a lot more practicing before anything is given away!

I am going…to fold all 8 loads of clothes I washed and dried today. 8 loads!

I am reading… I Surrender All: Rebuilding a Marriage Broken by Pornography Clay & Renee Crosse’s book. They speak so much about the casual Christian and the harm that a daily walk with the Lord can do to your life. Convicting!

I am hoping…it gets cool enough to wear some of my new scarves

I am hearing…nothing. And I’m not sure why, but I’m not questioning it. We are long since the quiet=mess times. Now, I relish the quiet.

Around the house…we are cleaning up. Fall cleaning I guess.

A few plans for the week…Headed to northeast Arkansas for a couple of days. Stephen is going to perform a wedding for a girl in our first youth group. And we get to see Abby, Henry and Randall!!! And all my favorite friends. I can’t wait!

One of my favorite things…I feel like I haven’t told you enough how much I love my Kindle. It is my favorite material object. I love it.

Celebrating and decorating with purpose is my favorite thing to do. When I am not filling a tree with ornaments or throwing a birthday party for my golden doodle, I am being mom to a super cool tween son, the wife to a fine blue eyed man and selling real estate. I call northeast Arkansas home and when I am not loving on my people or celebrating in our space, I am using words to express myself here or on my podcast. Be sure to follow me! I am the co-author of a blog called Life with My Sister and have a podcast called Abby As-Is. You can also follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
