Nature Baby

Well, it looks like the Sisters have been soaking up some of God’s creation this past week!

Henry had his first visit to the Nature Center. We are fortunate to live across the street from our local state park and the Nature Center. I have visited the Center several times, but never with my sweet little Henry. We met up with some friends and had a big time!

Henry loved soaking it all up. He ran from window to window, exhibit to exhibit and then he found the stairs and he was then forced to discover all his new surroundings from my hip!

He screamed, he was so excited! I love watching him explore new things. It makes me feel so blessed at moments like these to have had this extra time with him these past nine months.

Watching him woo the “snake man” into letting him touch the king snake was priceless. In this photo he has just touched it and was very proud of himself. He loved the “snake man” and wanted him to pick him up real bad. I was not so crazy about the man having a snake and my baby in his arms at the same time, so we went home soon after the snake petting and washed our hands.

I am having so much fun with my little curious fella and enjoying him still loving his mama like crazy. I know the time is coming where he will and needs to break away from me a little and cling to his daddy. His daddy is ready and waiting for that day too! Watching those two together melts my heart. Henry has a great role model on how to be a man, and for that I feel super thankful and blessed! (I have been listening to and reading A LOT of Dr. Dobson lately, if you can’t tell!).

Celebrating and decorating with purpose is my favorite thing to do. When I am not filling a tree with ornaments or throwing a birthday party for my golden doodle, I am being mom to a super cool tween son, the wife to a fine blue eyed man and selling real estate. I call northeast Arkansas home and when I am not loving on my people or celebrating in our space, I am using words to express myself here or on my podcast. Be sure to follow me! I am the co-author of a blog called Life with My Sister and have a podcast called Abby As-Is. You can also follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
