I have cried about it, but it has to be done. That poor boy is starting to look like a hairy monster. He has lots of of curls right on the top of his head (just like me) and they get droopy by the end of the day. He also has hair growing over his ears. It should be a real interesting event. I have the video camera and digital camera charged and ready. Randall is able to go with us and I am so glad. I love that he makes it a point to make sure his schedule allows for him to take part in all of Henry’s big moments. Be on watch for a haircut post this weekend!
I bought it from her for an overly reasonable price…and I am stoked about it. I started running last week (when I turned 32…it is my year people!) and I am on fire! I am running 3 days a week way before daylight (the moon was beautiful this morning…just sayin!) with some sweet young mamas and we run a nice 3 to 4 mile route. I love having someone to talk to. I really think that is how I ran 26.2 in 2004. I talked all through my runs. You put me out there alone and I fold, give up, quit. Running and talking go together for me. On the days I don’t run I am trying to walk with LaShay. Tomorrow she can’t go so I am making Randall and Henry go with me…3.5 miles of hills. I may have to post about that…should be interesting!
Next week I will have to take Henry with me for my early morning runs so I am glad to not have to try to make the ole Evenflo keep up with me, thanks to the new stroller. I threatened to take my Evenflo with me and my running buddy and my sweet husband assured me that was not a good idea. So, thanks to LaShay buying a new double jog stroller for boys, Henry has a running ride!
My Mama was part of BSF for years when I was growing up. She loved it and always knew so much about the Bible. After talking with some of my friends, I decided to go today and join. I was amazed to find so many women in my town that I had never seen before. God is so good in showing me new faces and new experiences lately. Anyway, I am not sure if there is a discussion group open for my age group or not. I am praying I get a call or email saying they have a spot for me. I think it is a good problem that they are at capacity…lots of women wanting to study God’s word, but I will be sad if I can’t be part of it. So, we shall wait, pray and see!

Sadly, we have not ever cut Samantha's hair since it is STILL not long enough for a haircut. My baby was bald when she was born and we chuckle when we look back at other pictures of her from even a year ago. She has definitely grown more hair, but it is still quite short yet.I know that I will be sad when we finally get a chance to trim it up, but I will also be excited that she will finally have enough hair and not be confused for being a boy!Make sure to post \”before\” and \”after\” pictures — you will be glad that you did …-Monique
I, like Abby, was born with naturally curly hair. My mama dressed me funny and didn't cut my hair for a long time. She never let me wear it real short, so when I was 12, my dad and I went to the barber shop and I asked dad if I could get a FLAT TOP. He said, \”sure.\” So, I got a FLAT TOP and away we went home. Well, my mama was not happy at all ! She didn't say a whole lot to me but my Daddy may has well have been a priest instead of a baptist minister…because he became celebate that day without taking a vow.It was not a fun night at our house !Abby's Dad
Way to go on your running!! I am wanting to get back into running as well and have been looking for a good deal on a jogging stroller. I ran the memphis half marathon in December 2006 and haven't done much since. You have inspired me to be more serious about it and get back into it! Thanks! :)And best of luck with Henry's haircut!!
I cut Hannah's hair myself when she was about 2. She hardly had any hair to speak of, but a couple of stylists had told me that if I ever wanted it to grown then I was going to have to cut it. I did and it came in quickly after that.Janson was about 8 months when he got his first haircut and it was at a barber. He did really well at it and looked so big afterward. We've been getting it cut regularly since then. He's pretty good now, but there was a rough patch in the middle.I did not cry…for either of them. It's just hair.
