The pool is open!
You know how I love the pool. This year I wasn’t very excited about it. The kids could sense it. Stephen even asked why.
I told him it was because I was fat. He assured me I was no fatter this year than last year. And strangely, it didn’t even hurt my feelings. I needed to know that I was just the same as last year. Comforting in a strange way.
It opened Monday and we have been there since.
I have taken my Kindle in a baggie. They have waterproof cases for it, but the reviews I read said that a baggie worked just as good. And I can get a whole box of those for under $2. The case costs like $40.
And yes, I am that cheap. The baggies won!
I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to read it at the pool, but I’m so happy to say that I can!!! This is going to be a great summer!!!
I didn’t tell you that Samuel made the all-star team again this year. This is his 5th year in a row to make it. It’s hot, but we love it and he does too. Congrats Sam! I’m proud of you!!
